Just a quick note from Team Z MEDIA - 2011 is booking quickly. Due to the number of requests for each date (we are being hammered with new client inquires), we aren't able to hold dates open for couples who haven't finalized their decision. Bookings are based on signed contracts with a deposit. We have had a number of couples call in and book over the phone in order to lock in their dates. If you have had a meeting for your date and haven't signed a contract and put down your deposit, please don't wait. We hate to see couples lose their dates. We want to be able to service as many people as we can. Also - don't wait to add services. If you want video or a photobooth, these are going quickly as well. It's always best to book everything at once if possible. We can't guarantee that these services will be available later.
Thanks everyone for the phenomenal response. We look forward to working with all of you!

Time to enjoy yourself. On your wedding day - its time to let it all go. You've planned, you've organized, you've put everything in place. Once the day comes, take a deep breath and let it all go. If you are a worrier, hire a planner. Even if it is just for the day of the wedding, have someone there so you can relax and enjoy yourself. Trust us, the day flies by. Before you know it, it will all be over. It's the experience of the day that matters. This should be a day of vivid memories. Images and feelings locked into your mind forever. Don't let the details bog you down. It's about you and your spouse enjoying one of the greatest days of your life - and we'll be right there with you to tell your story. Enjoy!

Due to an unfortunate circumstance for one of our couples, we have a team available for July 17th for both photography and videography. If you are in need, please let us know as soon as possible.
Thanks!

Each year, we try to do a post or two on the importance of good indoor locations for photography. Why? This year is a perfect example. It has rained nearly every Saturday for months. Some years have better weather than others. Last year, almost every weekend was beautiful. Sunny skies, cool temperatures - we were truly blessed. This year, not so lucky. Several weddings have even seen massive storms and tornados both in and out of town. The best plan? Make sure you book an indoor location.
This last weekend, we had a wonderful time shooting out of town with an incredible couple. Did it rain? Yep. They had wisely booked a beautiful indoor location. The shot above was during a time where the rain stopped, and we were able to sneak outside for a bit to get some fun outdoor photos with an umbrella. It was only for a short period of time. The rest of the time was spent inside getting cool shots in spite of the weather.
Also note that not all areas have great indoor locations. Check with your photographer for suggestions first, but there have been weddings where there just weren't good indoor spots within driving distance (given the time schedule of the day). If that is the case, then there should be a plan for utilizing the ceremony and reception areas to the best of their ability.
As photographers, we can't force you to book indoor spots. We do, however, highly suggest it. If nothing else, its great for your peace of mind. On the wedding day, you can smile as the rain comes down knowing that you have a great location for pictures regardless of the weather.
Cheers -

After being in New York City for 4 days (which we had a fantastic time with our couples and old friends), we came back to a crazy busy weekend. Saturday's wedding went incredibly well. Sunday we did a fashion shoot with one of our Indian brides. Immy looked fantastic and we wanted to send a shout out to everyone that helped with the shoot -
Immy Rai - model
Beth Richards - model posing and direction, photo assistant
Kimberly Seenarine-Pfeifer - makeup and styling
Jessica Miller - makeup assistant
Special thanks to Shami Rai and Andrew Pfeifer for helping with setup and tear-down. Great job everyone!

The blog has been somewhat quiet as of late. Sorry about that everyone. We are just completely slammed right now. Between the traveling, shooting, editing, meeting with new clients and running a business, the blog has taken a bit of a back seat. We're having a blast, but something had to give...
This week, Julie and I will be in New York City for 4 days photographing. We look forward to working with our couples. Jane - Theo - thanks for a great weekend.
Have a fantastic week everyone!

"Hey Julie! I was just looking through our wedding pics and reminiscing--You guys rock! You were definitely the best investment of the whole wedding :) I'm so glad we have such great photos to look back on! Keep up the great work!" - Kristen and Rocco
Just a few images from a fantastic destination Indian wedding this last week. We were exhausted, but loved every minute of it. What a great feeling to be treated like family and to make lifelong friends! B + V - we'll have to hook up in New York when we're there next month. Have an amazing honeymoon in South Africa!
